My mettle showing the value...
It is said that hard work sure pays and it pays well. So it did and i was paid more than i expected when i was awarded the University Gold medal for Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry (An Aggregate of 79.5%)- Batch of 2000 at the 8th Annual Convocvation of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences on the 3rd day of March- 2006.
I dedicate this honor to first and foremost-my Pillar of strength, hope & courage- My Mom. I would be nothing had it not been for her single-minded dedication and perseverance which reflected in my up-bringing; To my Dad, for all the support in a field of education alien to the family professioin; To my mentor, friend & guide- Dr Srivats Bharadwaj; To my friends for pushing me to work harder and having stood by me- Dr Deepti Rao & Dr Poonam Agarwal.
Mostly, this is an answer, for all the people who said I wont make it beyond High School- this is a slap on their faces... "What do you have to say now, eh?"
