Zurker - Will it become the next FB?!

Hi everone,

I came across this new social networking site which claims to be radically different! The claims are -
  1. It puts social networks where they belong -  in control of users who become the network.\
  2. It makes the users 'owners' by giving a stake/share in the company
  3. It claims to make money for the people who use it!
  4. It will keep all its books open! details of All the money coming in and going out can be accessed by anyone!
  5. it gives people freedom of choice and does not sqeeze the very last penny out of the 'data-mining' that other networks like FB do.
Is it here to stay? Will it become the next BIG THING?

Lets wait and watch.

Best Regards,

Picture this picture... (what? you find the language funny?? At least I dint say something like, "I posted a new post on my blog! :p)

मै हिंदी मे यह पोस्ट लिखूंगा . :)
तोह... क्या यह सूर्योदय है? या सूर्यास्त? "देखो, सोचो और समझो!" (Man! I tried that line from Agneepath -Dekho Socho aur samjho! and i don't sound half as impacting as AB! Now back to the post...)

itsy bitsy spider

This pic reminds me of the feeling of impending doom! I don't know why, but it does...
Its like i somehow am reminded of all the most awkward situations in life where I wished I were rather dead than be in that situation.
Have you ever wondered why we say things we later regret? I am yet to meet a man who can exactly say things he meant, or mean everything he ever said! I've met people who say they do that... But in the final analysis... they don't! Like Dr. House says, "Everybody Lies!"
The point here (though by now is pointless already) is that the spider here represents all the repressed 'feelings of doom'. May be that sense has been captured when I clicked this...
Or I'd like to think I did... 'cos when I clicked this pic, I had to spend a second or two focusing on the hairy-legs of the spider through the viewfinder of my SLR (unintentional showing-off!); and the spider, sensing impending doom, suddenly took to flight (not literally, spiders don't fly you moron!). And I caught it in between its leaps on the wall in moment, where it was just about to make a big leap to get away from doom (Me!).
Now the caption on the pic makes me look villainous! Hey... I mean no harm! Just a way of telling spidey, "...hey, I meant no harm. thanks for posing for me... someday, a real threat shall come your way and that's the day you'll fall... not today... not today..."
Little did the spider know.... and little did I know... today was the day! Alas! I was following the moves of spidey (in a very non-threatening, non-filming manner, out of its sight) when a well camouflaged frog lapped him up in one clean sweep! I was heartbroken :( My star model for the 'impending doom' pic just got webbed!

Just trying a hand at Photography

Send me comments on these pics... very amature, yet my proud pieces of display! Posted by Picasa

Life in the fast lane...

Where are all the sparrows disappeared? Where have the butterflies vanished? The last time i remember seeing them is more than a couple of years ago...

The 'age of innocence' that now hast passeth has left me in a time where Life's always in the fast lane. A time where 'time' ticks faster and the pace only gets quicker...

'If you're not in, you're out!' Said my career guidance counsellor. I've been running to be In and I feel like i've run far too fast to catch all the simpler things in life...

Its time i took a break!

A Rare sight (very much on Earth)

A truly Rare and beautiful sight captured in the Arctic. The beautiful north sky shows the Sun and the Moon in the horizon...

Hope to see it some day...

A suset in My home planet!

The image captured by Mars landers show the distant sun setting in the Martian horizon. The red planet 'shows' signs of water and possibility of supporting life.

A view from 'Columbia'...

This photograph was taken by the crew on board the Columbia during its last mission, on a cloudless day. The picture is of Europe and Africa when the sun is setting.
Half of the picture is in night. The bright dots you see are the cities' lights. The top part of Africa is the Sahara Desert .

The sun is still shining on the Strait of Gibraltar . The Mediterranean Sea is already in darkness. In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean you can see the Azores Islands; below them to the right are the Madeira Islands ; a bit below are the Canary Islands; and further South, close to the farthest western point of Africa , are the Cape Verde Islands.

Note that the Sahara is huge and can be seen clearly both during day time and night time. To the left, on top, is Greenland , totally frozen.
